Got this phone after Samsung A53 and A73 launched. Comparing the models, A52s is more powerful than the A53. A52s is also internally very similar to the A73 (which has slightly bigger display, 64MP vs 108MP camera and a bigger battery) but looking at the price difference of more than 10k, A52s is a no brainer choice, and with a headphone jack too! Doesn’t lag at all even with 6GB RAM, battery easily lasts a day and a half (no games, uninstalled crapware) and a very good camera (with a night mode that actually captures night scenes as night with good details, unlike flagships which turn night to day, just a personal preference though) Screen is very bright and vivid. I didn’t notice a huge difference between 60Hz and 120Hz, so kept it at 60Hz for more battery life. There is no overall setting to hide the notch, but you could hide it for individual apps by digging into the settings. Speakers are fine, wish it were a bit louder. 128GB is fine, the presence of microSD card reader, makes it even better. The trusted headphone jack is here along with ingress protection of IP67. Washed my phone under tap water, no issues The phone is well built and the design looks very premium even with the plastic back. Using it without any case. This is my largest and heaviest phone (last phone was the iPhone SE 2020). My wrists hurt like hell for the first few days, but after a while got used to the size. But the biggest drawback is the amount of bloatware that comes with the device. If it was a Chinese smartphone, that’s a given, but didn’t expect this from Samsung. The only I got seems to be a India specific device and ROM (To be sold in India and Nepal only). I am pretty sure around 30 different companies now know that I bought this phone. Took me 2 days to identify, uninstall and disable all pointless apps and services, all which making sure I did not accidently accept any T&Cs of those third parties (some apps employ very deceptive ways for users to accept it) No wonder some people complain about battery life despite a decent 4500mah battery. There will most probably be multiple such apps running at any time. Another drawback is that the under-display fingerprint sensor is slow. I need to press it for a considerable time for the phone to unlock. No touch and go.

This phone is featured packed. If you invest in it you don’t have to think for next 2 years ya I know technology changes very rapidly but you’ll be still better than low budget smartphones of that time. If you push your budget then you should always go for A series over M series, there is a huge difference in them still when they share same processors. Only disappointment I’ve to face with this smartphone is that it have hybrid sim slot and the 15W charger otherwise everything is good. You’ll not regret.
